Hassan Harfouche

Here it is autumn again. We at ADA and CEDAR Productions have come up with what we think is the BEST of the BEST. We present to you Hassan Harfouche the EMIR of Debke. I met this gentleman many years ago at a show in NYC at Town Hall Theater. It was one of the first of Bobby's (Ibrahim Farrah) shows that I went to and even all these years later Hassan has been on my mind. With this in mind I am proud to present him as our ***NAJOUM ***(STAR) .

L'Emir Hassan Harfouche has been a professional dancer, choreographer for the past 32 years. His early training was with traditional choreographer, Mirwan and Wadia Gerrar of Lebanon. He then began his long association with Kegam, who is the founder of stylized Debke. Debke being the national dance of Lebanon. Very powerful and dynamic.

While at USC he choreographed, taught and performed Debke. For the past 12 years, Hassan has been teaching master classes at the Mendicino Music and Dance Camp. He has performed in theaters in New York, Los Angeles, France, Germany, London and throughout the Middle East, including his home town of Baalbek known internationally for its famous annual international festival. Hassan has danced in several feature films including 'King of the Gypsies' and 'Protocol'. He has also choreographed and performed for numerous television shows.

As you can see L'Emir is a master and we are very privileged to be able to bring him to the San Diego area.
